PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal interconnection support type electrochemical device that can further minimize an opportunity of formation of a defect which may adversely affect an open-circuit voltage and/or use of fuel.SOLUTION: A manifold interconnection structure 20 for a solid-state electrolytic fuel cell (SOFC) contains a manifold 32 having a dense sealed flat face which is impermeable to fuel gas 36 used for the corresponding SOFC. A porous material 22 contains a transmissible flat face which is brought into lateral contact with the flat face of the manifold to form an electrode interconnection portion 30. The exposed face of the connection portion between the dense sealed flat face and the transmissible flat face is substantially flat, and contains no discontinuous portion, no corner portion and no joint. The dense sealed flat face, the transmissible flat face and the exposed face of the connection portion have the porous material 22 laid on a single common flat face suitable for thermal deposition of an electrode layer 36 and an electrolytic layer 28. |
