PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multistage power amplifier combining low idle current operation and high output high linearity performance.SOLUTION: Bias supply means 301, 302 supply a base bias to a pre-stage power amplifier 107 and a latter stage power amplifier 108. Detection means 303 detects the output signal from the latter stage power amplifier 108, and generates a latter stage output detection bias depending on a signal amplitude thus detected. Subtraction means 304 subtracts the bias supplied to the pre-stage power amplifier 107 depending on the latter stage output detection bias. Addition means 305 adds the bias supplied to the latter stage power amplifier 108 depending on the latter stage output detection bias. |
