Provided are a data transceiving method, a modem and a terminal device, which relate to the field of communications, and solve the problem of a large amount of electric power consumption of the terminal device caused due to the fact that an AP is frequently awakened for controlling the Modem to perform the transceiving of wireless network data in the art. The solution comprises: a modem receiving pre-processing information about an application sent by an application processor (AP), the pre-processing information at least comprising a periodic gear value and first data of the application, wherein the periodic gear value is used for representing that the application needs the AP to transceive the frequency of the first data, and the application needs the AP to send data to a server, the data being the first data; according to the periodic gear value and the time at which the modem receives the pre-processing information, the modem invoking a preset function to determine the sending time for the first data; and the modem sending the first data to the server according to the sending time. |
