The embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of communications, and disclosed are a method for terminating a call, an application processor and a modem. In the solution, an application processor receives a hang-up instruction, and sends a first message to a modem according to the hang-up instruction, the first message being used for triggering the modem to directly terminate a call; and the modem can terminate the call in time according to the first message, thereby reducing the time consumed for terminating a call and improving efficiency.
