The processing circuitry acquires first data of a plurality of first detection regions and second data of a plurality of second detection regions, each of the first and second detection regions including one detection element or a plurality of detection elements in the row direction, and the first detection regions being shifted by an amount corresponding to n (0<n<1) of the detection regions in the row direction from the respective second detection regions. The processing circuitry generates image data based on the acquired first and second data.
