A semiconductor lamp (21) has a light-transmissive bulb (2) having a tubular basic shape, said bulb having contact regions (5) extending circumferentially on the end side, at least one substrate (3) which is accommodated in the bulb and on which at least one semiconductor light source (4) is arranged, end caps (22) for the end-side closure of the bulb (2), and volume-constant adhesion medium (6) for cohesively connecting a respective pair of end cap and contact region (5), wherein the contact regions (5) taper toward a respective end (9) of the bulb (2). A method serves for producing a semiconductor lamp (21), comprising: providing a light-transmissive bulb having a tubular basic shape, the circumferentially extending contact regions (5) of said bulb tapering toward the respective end (9); providing end caps (22); applying a volume-constant adhesion medium (6) to the contact regions (5) and/or to mating contact regions (24) of the end caps; and placing the end caps onto the contact regions in such a way that they press onto the adhesion medium. The invention is more particularly applicable to replacement lamps or retrofit lamps for replacing conventional fluorescent lamps or linear lamps. |
