[Problem] To provide a container that has a cover with excellent sealing properties and that feels comfortable to the mouth during drinking. [Solution] This container has a body portion and a bottom portion. The body portion has a cylindrical shape with a side face having a side seam portion formed by attaching segments of paper material covered by resin to each other and with one end having a curled portion to which the cover is to be attached by way of heat sealing. The bottom portion is formed on the other end of the body portion. The face of the curled portion on the side to which the cover is to be attached is formed so that the cross section thereof taken in the radial direction of the body portion is formed into an arch, and the location on the curled portion where the thickness in the direction of attachment of the cover is greatest is further toward the outer circumference side than the location where the width of the curled portion in the radial direction of the body portion is bisected.
