This information processing device processes a wide angle image to be displayed on a screen fixed on the user's head or face. When the display viewing angle reaches the boundary of the original wide-angle image 701, an indicator 703 is added to a free viewpoint image 702 to indicate that the boundary has been reached. The indicator 703 is displayed such that the portion of the free viewpoint image 702 that touches the boundary 704 of the wide-angle image 701 or juts past said boundary 704 is displayed as a solid black edge. Observing such an indicator 703, the user intuitively understands that the display area has reached the limit of the wide-angle image.
