PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a reflective display device, by which degradation in a reflective display device can be suppressed and good display rewiring can be performed.SOLUTION: A first temperature is detected by a temperature detection unit. A second temperature is detected by the temperature detection unit after a predetermined time period has passed from the detection of the first temperature. Whether a difference between the first temperature and the second temperature, or a variation per unit time of the difference between the first temperature and the second temperature falls in a predetermined range or not is determined. If the difference or the variation of difference is determined to be within the predetermined range, a drive sequence is decided based on the second temperature and display is rewritten following the drive sequence by applying an electric field between two substrates in accordance with the contents of desired display. When the difference or the variation of difference is determined to be out of the predetermined range, the display is not rewritten. |
