PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens that can easily provide high optical performance at high zoom ratio over the entire zoom range, and has an entirely compact system.SOLUTION: There is provided a zoom lens comprises first to fourth lens groups having positive, negative, negative, and positive refractive powers, where at least the second lens group L2 and the third lens group L3 move so that the distance between the first lens group L1 and the second lens group is increased, the distance between the second lens group and the third lens group is decreased, and the distance between the third lens group and the fourth lens group L4 is decreased. The second lens group has two or more negative lenses and one or more positive lenses; the fourth lens group has two or more positive lenses and one or more negative lenses; at least one lens surface in the fourth lens group has an aspherical shape; focal distances fw and ft of the entire system at the wide angle end and telephoto end, and focal distances f2 and f3 of the second lens group and third lens group are appropriately set, respectively. |
