Provided are a propulsion apparatus for a ship and a ship including the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the propulsion apparatus for a ship comprises: a rear propeller fixed to a rotation shaft; a front propeller rotationally supported on the rotation shaft in the front of the rear propeller; an inverse rotation device inverting rotation of the rotation shaft to be transmitted to the front propeller, which is accommodated in a tail of a hull; a propeller connection member connecting the inverse rotation device and the front propeller to transmit a rotation force; and a bearing assembly installed between a hub of the front propeller and the rotation shaft. Moreover, the bearing assembly comprises: an internal side support ring fixated to an outer surface of the rotation shaft; an external side support ring installed in an outer side of the internal side support ring in a state of being spaced from the internal side support ring, and fixated to an inner surface of the hub of the front propeller; and a rear thrust bearing installed between the internal side support ring and the external side support ring.
