PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current detector capable of reducing current detection errors even if a current passage is branched off in the nearest portion to a downstream side of a shunt resistance.SOLUTION: First and second bus bars 9 and 10 are connected to a detection circuit detecting a voltage value of a shunt resistance 11 via first and second connection terminals 12a and 12b, respectively. Both end portions of the shunt resistance 11 are electrically connected and integrally incorporated to the first and second bus bars 9 and 10 that are halfway along a line whose current is to be detected, respectively. The detection circuit measures a voltage drop on both sides of the shunt resistance 11, thereby detecting a magnitude of a to-be-detected current flowing in the first and second bus bars 9 and 10. The second bus bar 10 is formed into a generally T-shape such that the line is branched into two current passages in a branch portion 14 nearest to a downstream side of the shunt resistance 11 through which the to-be-detected current flows. A width-reduced notch portion 13a is formed by punching such that vertexes of generally triangular shapes face each other in both end portions in a width direction between the second connection terminal 12b and the branch portion 14. |
