983,305. Dish-washing machines. ELECTROLUX A.B. Aug. 10, 1961 [Sept. 21, 1960], No. 28889/61. Addition to 918,412. Heading A4F. The dish-washing machine of the parent Specification is provided with a liquid-level-regulating member between the pump inlet and the discharge valve. For "pre-dish-washing" flushing the lever 37 is set as shown in Fig. 6 the water level being regulated by member 44, sump 23 thus being kept full so that pump 32 may operate satisfactorily with a comparitively small quantity of water: a continuous flow being maintained even with low mains pressure. For actual "dish-washing" lever 37 is moved to its far left position (Fig. 5, not shown) closing outlet 35 by means of disc 36. The washing liquid level is then governed by overflow drain 39 which permits a larger quantity of liquid to be retained in the machine for re-circulation. After washing is completed lever 37 is again set as shown in Fig. 6 and rinsing carried out with fresh water. The machine is drained after rinsing by moving lever 37 to its far right position (Fig. 7, not shown) when outlet 35 is open and member 44 is disengaged from the walls of sump 23.
|
