Provided is an identity identification apparatus, containing a light-emitting module, a light sensing module, a pulse scanning unit, a fingerprint scanning unit and a controller. The light-emitting module is used for emitting first incident light and second incident light to an object. The light sensing module is used for generating a first light current and a second light current according to first reflected light and second reflected light reflected by the object. The pulse scanning unit is used for generating current change data of the object according to the first light current. The fingerprint scanning unit is used for generating fingerprint characteristics of the object according to the second light current. The controller is used for controlling the light-emitting module to emit the first incident light, judging whether the object has pulses according to the current change data of the object so as to control the light-emitting module to emit the second incident light, and judging whether the object passes identity identification according to the fingerprint characteristics of the object. Protection on a personal electronic apparatus is enhanced according to the operation method in the embodiments of the present invention, so that circuits do not need to be additionally added to sense pulses, and the design of the personal electronic apparatus is simplified. |
