PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new tubular body capable of solving various problems to be caused when the conventional tubular body is produced, which body has a polygonal shape such as a tetragonal shape and consists of a SiC/SiC composite material.SOLUTION: The new tubular body has the polygonal shape and consists of another SiC/SiC composite material which comprises: a plurality of SiC fiber layers; a fiber covering layer for covering the plurality of SiC fiber layers; and a CVD-SiC layer with which gaps of the plurality of SiC fiber layers are filled and which constitutes the outside surface of the SiC/SiC composite material. The side of the tubular body in the longitudinal direction has an R plane. The winding angle of the outermost SiC fiber layer with respect to the axial line of a mandrel is made smaller than that of the SiC fiber layer just under the outermost SiC fiber layer. |
