PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can be operated even when abnormality occurs in an auxiliary control part, and does not damage convenience of a user.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a control part 93 which controls operation of a mechanism included in the image forming device for forming an image on a recording medium; an input part 182 which inputs information for allowing control; a plurality of processing parts 183, 184 which process the input information; a plurality of communication parts 185, 186 which communicate between the control part and the plurality of processing parts 183, 184; a first abnormality detection part 191 which detects the processing part, in which the abnormality occurs, out of the plurality of processing parts 183, 184 as an abnormal processing part; and a switching part 190 which performs switching operation of which of the plurality of communication parts is used. The switching part performs the switching operation to use the communication part different from the communication part corresponding to the abnormal processing part out of the plurality of communication parts 185, 186 under a condition that the abnormal processing part is detected by the first abnormal detection part. |
