A refrigeration cycle device is provided with: a first refrigeration cycle circuit (1); a second refrigeration cycle circuit (2); a warm water circuit (5) that cools a heat source (3); a first water-refrigerant heat exchanger (13) that performs heat exchange between the refrigerant of the first refrigeration cycle circuit and the coolant of the warm water circuit; and a second water-refrigerant heat exchanger (14) that performs heat exchange between the refrigerant of the second refrigeration cycle circuit and the coolant of the warm water circuit. The first refrigeration cycle circuit and the second refrigeration cycle circuit are controlled so that when one of the circuits performs defrosting operation, the other performs heating operation. As a result, the circuits do not simultaneously perform defrosting operation. When the first refrigeration cycle circuit begins defrosting operation and a control device (6) determines that the first refrigeration cycle circuit is capable of absorbing heat from warm water, said control device (6) causes warm water from the warm water circuit (5) to flow into the first water-refrigerant heat exchanger (13), thereby causing heat exchange with the refrigerant. The heat that is absorbed by one refrigeration cycle circuit can be used to defrost the other refrigeration cycle circuit via the warm water circuit, thus improving defrosting efficiency and making it possible to shorten defrosting time.
