The present invention relates to a roll to roll gravure printing apparatus and a printing method thereof, and especially, to the roll to roll gravure printing apparatus and the printing method thereof to improve the quality of a printed matter and allow the easy cleansing of a pattern roll. The roll to roll gravure printing apparatus of the present invention includes the pattern roll (10) which has a printing pattern formed on the outer circumference thereof, and a press roll (20) which is rotated together with the printing roll. The roll to roll gravure printing apparatus of the present invention includes: a storage tank (110) where an ink or a cleansing solution is stored for a part of the pattern roll (10) to be dipped; a temperature detection part (120) for detecting temperatures by being comprised in the storage tank; a temperature control part (130) for controlling the temperature of the storage tank; an ultrasonic vibration part (140) for generating ultrasonic waves in the storage tank; and a control part (200) for controlling the operation of the temperature control part (130) or the ultrasonic vibration part (140) according to the temperature detected in the temperature detection part (120).
