A body of an electric convector heater comprises two panels each including a wall 8 which forms a main side wall of the body along the vertical edges of which extend two portions 9 which contribute to the end walls of the body, and means for joining the edges of the portions 9 of one panel to those of the other. The portions 9 may be joined by flanges on the said edges. The end walls make angles greater than 90 degrees with the flanges and with the main walls so that on joining the flanges the side walls bow. The sheet metal body may be tapered from bottom to top. Grids provided in the air entry and exit openings are supported on lugs, and the upper grid is secured in position by clips 20. Mountings on the lower grid support the electric heating element, and a lamp may be provided to indicate when the element is operative. |
