Disclosed is a camera actuator that has, separated from each other, a focus adjustment driving unit that generates the driving force for bringing a camera into focus and an image stabilization driving unit that generates the driving force for stabilizing an image, thereby conveniently controlling autofocus and image stabilizing function. To this end, a camera actuator according to the present invention comprises: a base, placed above an image sensor, and which adjusts the location of a lens with reference to the image sensor, to adjust focus of the camera or stabilize the image; a first carrier that has the lens and moves, above the base, in the direction of the optical axis of the lens; a second carrier that moves, above the base, in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis; a first driving unit, placed on one side of the first carrier, and which includes a first magnet and first coil that generate the driving force for moving the first carrier; a second driving unit, placed on the other side of the first carrier, separated from the first driving unit, and which includes a second magnet and second coil that generate the driving force for moving the second carrier; an elastomeric member, placed above the second carrier, and which sends back the second carrier to the original position; and a Hall sensor, placed beneath the second magnet, and which senses the displacement of the second carrier. |
