The present invention relates to a method for stabilizing an organic pigment in a composition and, more specifically, to a method for stabilizing an organic pigment, which comprises a step of treating sulfite to a composition containing the organic pigment. According to the present invention, color implementation of the pigment can be maximized by stabilizing the organic pigment in the composition, especially in a cosmetic composition. Therefore, the method of the present invention can be useful in the production of the cosmetic composition.
