The invention relates to a radio frequency identification (RFID) device comprising a pair of conductive tabs (12,14) on a first surface of the dielectric layer; a conductive structure; and a dielectric layer between the conductive tabs (12,14) and the conductive structure; wherein the dielectric layer has a thinner portion (116) and a thicker portion (122); and wherein one of the conductive tabs (12,14) is at least partially on the thinner portion (116) of the dielectric layer.
