The tool 10 is for installing a mounting sleeve 12 for an audio head unit of a vehicle into a recess in an instrument panel of the vehicle. The tool includes a first frame member 28 fixed to a first arm 22 of a pair of pliers and a second frame member 30 fixed to a second arm 24 of the pair of pliers. At least one of the frame members comprises at least one protrusion 32, 36 configured to bend a tab 20 of the mounting sleeve outwards by moving the pair of pliers in an open position. A spring element 34 may be used to move the pliers to the open position. |
