<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective polarizing plate device in which optical characteristics (optical quality) of a reflective polarizing plate can be maintained by a proper manner to hold and the reflective polarizing plate can be surely fixed against impact and vibration, an electro-optic device, an optical device, and a projector. <P>SOLUTION: A reflective polarizing plate device 5 includes a reflective polarizing plate 341 which transmits first linearly polarized light and reflects second linearly polarized light substantially orthogonal to the first linearly polarized light, a holding member 50 housing and holding the reflective polarizing plate 341, and a first urging member 51 which urges a plane of the reflective polarizing plate 341 housed in the holding member 50. The holding member 50 has three holding portions 508 which are brought into contact with one surface (functional surface 3411) of the reflective polarizing plate 341 to hold the reflective polarizing plate, and the first urging member 51 has three urging parts 518 in positions facing the three holding portions 508, and the other surface (glass surface 3412) of the reflective polarizing plate 341 is pressed and urged by the three urging portions 518. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
