The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an isotropic pitch and, more specifically, to a method for manufacturing an isotropic pitch, comprising a step for pretreating a petroleum-based hydrocarbon through a radical cross-linkage reaction. According to an embodiment of the present invention, through the method for manufacturing an isotropic pitch, comprising a petroleum-based hydrocarbon through a radical cross-linkage reaction, the fluidity of the petroleum-based hydrocarbon is improved, and thus, the formation of incompatible components can be prevented, and an isotropic pitch with a high softening point and a high carbonization yield can be manufactured at high yield. |
