Apparatus for the wet treatment of freshly extruded moving lengths of film of thermoplastic synthetic material comprises a liquid-filled tank 4 into which the film 3 is introduced vertically from above and from which it is removed vertically upwardly after passing over deflecting rollers 7, 8 situated near the bottom of the tank, and nozzles 5, 6 connected through ducts 14, 15 to a liquid pipe outside the tank and arranged in the liquid near the surface thereof, the orifices of these nozzles being directed toward the surface of the liquid so that the jets of liquid move first parallel to the plane of the film and then parallel to the surface of the liquid. The liquid level is determined by the height of the top edges of the walls 10 and 13, 11 and 12 being the outflow ducts. Partition 10 ensures symmetry of flow on both sides of the plane of the film. |
