The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling synchronization of a camera shutter in an in-vehicle Ethernet communication network. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for controlling synchronization of a camera shutter in a camera controller linked to a grandmaster via Ethernet communication comprises: a time synchronization step of performing a time synchronization process with the grandmaster; a pulse per second (PPS) down counting step of decrementing a predetermined PPS down counter when the time synchronization process is completed normally; and a camera shutter driving step of driving a camera shutter when the PPS down counter reaches zero. Therefore, the present invention can provide an accurate image frame of a desired time slot by synchronizing the shutters of cameras connected to in-vehicle Ethernet.
