A display unit 10 with at least one shelf 31 supported by collapsible support members 50 such that it can be in a collapsed state and an expanded one where the supports are extended. Preferably the unit has a base 20 and a lid 40, and when collapsed fits wholly into these two elements as a casing for transport. Preferably the base 20 supports the device when in the expanded state. Preferably the device can be assembled through manipulating the lid 40. Preferably the supports 50 may be collapsible by pivoting or telescopic means. Preferably various assembled states are possible by selective extension of the supports, to enable use of only some of the shelves. The device provides a portable shelving unit for temporary displays that can be assembled easily and transported or stored easily when collapsed. |
