<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller being a new input system to replace a hardware device capable of inputting characters or the like to a computer by an easy operation and performing an operation. <P>SOLUTION: The remote controller, which performs viewing/recording reservation or access to a site on the basis of program information or site information printed on a medium surface, is composed of: an imaging means for optically reading a dot pattern formed by patterning a predetermined code value on the basis of a predetermined algorithm for each region of the program information or the site information printed on the medium surface; a control means which analyzes the dot pattern from the picked-up image from the imaging means and decodes it into a code value that the dot pattern means; and a transmission means for transmitting the decoded code value to a program broadcast receiver, tuner, recording/reproducing apparatus, reproducing apparatus or network access device, or set-top box for broadcast reception/network access, and personal computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
