<p>An electrophotographic printer is provided which can be cleaned so as to meet the requirement for high speed printing on a continuous web of paper (7) as the printing medium and to make minimum the amount of toner that remains on the surface of a rotating transfer roller (2) even in high-speed production. To the ends, the printer is provided with a carrier solution supply device (11) disposed in an area upstream of a transfer roller cleaning device (10) in the rotation direction of the rotating transfer roller (2) for supplying the surface of the rotating transfer roller (2) with a carrier solution.</p>
