摘要 FIELD: physics, computer engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of adjusting an I/O channel on a virtual platform, used in virtual technology. The method comprises calculating, by a host, current average I/O throughput of multiple virtual machines (VM) operating on the host; increasing or decreasing, by the host, working threads for processing the VM between external devices and internal devices of the multiple VM according to the current average I/O throughput; adjusting, by the host, a mapping relationship between queues in the external device, queues in the internal devices of the multiple VM, and working threads for processing the VM. Channel resources occupied by the I/O channels between external devices and internal devices of multiple VM are dynamically adjusted according to I/O throughput of the multiple VM operating on the host. When I/O throughput decreases, unoccupied I/O channel resources are freed up so as to avoid wasting of I/O channel resources.
