Disclosed in the present invention is method for planning an automated path of optimal screw insertion for a safe spinal fusion surgery. The method comprises the steps of: (a) extracting a vertebra model of a patient from a medical image; (b) generating a patient mapping bone model by mapping the extracted vertebra model on an average bone model; (c) extracting a spinal canal area of the patient from the generated patient mapping bone model; and (d) calculating a screw insertion path corresponding to the patient, by defining a pedicle area from the spinal canal area of the patient. |
