The invention relates to a rocker panel (1) for a vehicle body having an elongated reinforcing component (7) configured as a hollow profile made of metal, preferably of steel, and/or of plastic, preferably of fiber-reinforced plastic. In order for such a rocker panel to offer higher resistance against intrusion into the vehicle during a side collision at more favorable component costs compared to traditional rocker panels, and thus making a weight reduction of the vehicle body possible, the reinforcing component (7) according to the invention is constructed of a group of at least two, preferably three single profiles (7.1, 7.2, 7.3). |
