The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for recommending an application through an image recognition device of a terminal and, more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for recognizing an object based on information shown on an image recognition device such as a camera of a terminal and recommending an application relative to corresponding object to a user. The method of recommending the application through the image recognition device of the terminal includes: collecting object information from the image recognition device of the terminal; extracting feature information from the object information; recognizing an object by matching the feature information with a database; searching an application corresponding to the object; and proving the application corresponding to the object. The method and the apparatus for recommending the application through the image recognition device of the terminal detect the object information through the image recognition device of the terminal and recommend the application relative to the object recognized based on the detected object information to the user, thereby enhancing convenience of the user and improving accessibility for the use of application of the user. |
