The present invention relates to a gasket for an engine, comprising polyvinyl chloride (PVC) extracted from waste plastic, and to a production method thereof. According to the present invention, the gasket and the method of the present invention ensures reduction in production costs of an existing gasket, and can also contribute to improving environmental pollution caused by waste plastic. In addition, the gasket produced with reduced costs exhibits excellent thermal resistance and is capable of preventing oil leak in the engine even when being attached on the engine which keeps a high temperature after driving. Due to such effects, alteration in the state does not easily occur. Thus, it is possible to produce and provide a gasket with excellent durability. |
