A method of treating a skin inflammatory condition in a mammal in need thereof, comprising identifying a mammal that suffers from dermatitis, dermatosis or eczema; and contacting at least part of an inflamed skin of the mammal with a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising an X-ray contrast media that comprises triiodinated, completely or partially substituted, benzene moieties existing in a form of an ionic dimer, wherein the contacting comprises topically administering the composition to the at least part of the inflamed skin.
