Methods to monitor components of an aircraft landing system are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining a brake assembly temperature and determining a wheel temperature. The example method also includes retrieving an estimated increase in the wheel temperature from a data structure based on the wheel temperature and the brake assembly temperature. The example method further includes determining a maximum wheel temperature based on the wheel temperature and the estimated increase in the wheel temperature.

determining a first temperature of a wheel of an aircraft; determining a second temperature of a brake assembly operatively coupled to the wheel; associating the first temperature with one of a plurality of predetermined ranges of wheel temperatures; associating the second temperature with one of a plurality of predetermined ranges of brake assembly temperatures; determining an estimated increase in the first temperature associated with the one of the ranges of wheel temperatures and the one of the ranges of brake assembly temperatures; and determining a maximum temperature of the wheel based on the first temperature and the estimated increase in the first temperature.
