The present invention relates to a bulbous bow of a ship, and in the bulbous bow which is comprised at a lower side of the front part of the ship, the bulbous bow of the ship of the present invention includes: a main body part having a curved shape protruded forward; a grid part which is comprised in the main body part and is connected to a plurality of spots on the inner surface of the main body part; and a grid control part which changes the shape of the main body part by contracting or expanding the grid part. The bulbous bow of the ship according to the present invention can optimize operation efficiency according to ship velocity of the ship, sea state, freight loading state, etc., by being able to change the size or the shape without the need to enter the ship to a dock again. Also, the bulbous bow of the ship according to the present invention can control changing of the shape, by comprising the grid part in the main body part, and forming the main body part with a flexible material in order for the outer surface of the main body part to be changed variously by expansion or contraction of the grid part. |
