Disclosed is a control method of an energy storage apparatus. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the control method of an energy storage apparatus comprises the following steps: estimating power to be consumed in a load terminal; comparing the estimated power with the remaining amount of a battery; and being operated in an ESS mode when the remaining amount of a battery is greater than the estimated power, and charging the battery when the remaining amount of a battery is lower than the estimated power.
