A method for contacting and connecting solar cells by at least two independent electrodes, wherein at least one electrode is formed from at least one continuous wire conductor, comprising the following steps: positioning the at least one continuous wire conductor so that said wire conductor extends across a plurality of solar cells, disconnecting the at least one wire conductor at positions between adjacent solar cells to form the at least one electrode after the at least one wire conductor has been extended across the plurality of solar cells and prior to fixing the plurality of solar cells under a glass plate, establishing electrical contact between the solar cells and the at least two electrodes, and establishing electrical contact between the at least two electrodes via bonding prior to disconnecting the electrodes.
