The present invention relates to a head mounted display (HMD) and a content providing method using the same and, more specifically, to an HMD providing content including augmented reality information and a content providing method using the same. The HMD includes: a processor controlling an operation of the HMD; a camera unit sensing an image in a front direction of the HMD and transmitting the sensed image to the processor; and a display unit outputting an image based on a command of the processor. The processor obtains information on a target object and obtains an image of an outer area by the camera unit. The processor also displays augmented reality information of the target object in the outer area. |
