The present invention relates to a laundry treatment apparatus and, more particularly, to the laundry treatment apparatus which can be remotely controlled through communication with the outside. The present invention relates to the laundry treatment apparatus which can be remotely controlled more safely. According to an embodiment of the present invention, in the laundry treatment apparatus which communicates with an external terminal and has a control panel comprised for remote control through the external terminal and for user interface, the present invention may provide the laundry treatment apparatus including: a cabinet; a clothes accommodation part which is comprised in the cabinet and accommodates laundry; a door which is comprised in the cabinet, and opens or closes the clothes accommodation part selectively; a door opening/closing part which maintains a closed state of the door, and opens the door by manipulation of a user; a door opening/closing sensing part for sensing opening/closing of the door; a remote control activation input part which is comprised in the control panel in order to set or release possibility of the remote control by selection of the user; and a control part which releases the remote control activation, according as the door opening/closing sensing part senses an open state of the door, under the state that the remote control activation is set. |
