Provided is a composition for the oral cavity, said composition exerting a high anti-inflammatory effect and having an excellent formulation stability. The composition for the oral cavity comprises: component (A) that is one or more kinds of lactam compounds selected from the group consisting of pyrrolidonecarboxylic acid, 6-oxo-2-piperidinecarboxylic acid, 3-(2-oxo-1-azepanyl)propanoic acid and salts thereof; and component (B) that is an anti-inflammatory agent.
