摘要 The present invention relates to a device and a method to control a flow control valve for a high pressure fuel pump. An operation cycle of a flow control valve includes: a pull-in time supplying and maintaining a current to a coil to close the flow control valve by moving a plunger, placed in a solenoid, to a core by generating a magnetic field; a hold time maintaining the closed flow control valve; and a drop time opening the flow control valve by reducing the current, applied to the coil during opening operation. The current, applied to the coil, is controlled so that vibration and noise by collision between the core and the plunger are reduced by reducing an operation speed of the plunger during the pull-in time, and therefore, the amount of the current, applied to the coil of the flow control valve, is controlled to reduce the vibration and noise by the collision between the core and the plunger during the closing operation of the flow control valve.
