As mobile products are diversified, 40% of smartphones with a large screen of five inches or more embed a touch pen, and utilization of the touch pen is good for a tablet PC with a large screen. Therefore, need for the touch pen increases recently and technology for the touch pen is rapidly developing. According to the present invention, a method for operating a smartphone includes: a first step (210) of a touch pen (400) for recognizing whether a touch screen of the smartphone is touched by the touch pen; a second step (220) of a control unit (100) of the smartphone for calculating the thickness of the touch pen (400) based on touch pressure of the touch pen (400); and a third step (S233) of the control unit (100) for determining the size of an eraser according to the touch thickness calculated in the second step (S220) and enabling the user to erase characters by using the eraser. |
