Provided are a heat sealable polymer emulsion for blister packaging and a production method thereof. According to the present invention, the polymer emulsion provided by the present invention comprises latex particles which have the nano-sized average particle size and a narrow unimodal particle size distribution, thereby exhibiting uniform and stable emulsion properties. More specifically, the polymer emulsion also shows excellent heat sealability and thus can be suitable to be used as a blister packaging material. Furthermore, the polymer emulsion provided by the present invention is polymerized in an aqueous medium in the absence of an organic solvent. Thus, it is possible to provide the blister packaging material with minimized harmfulness against the human body and the environment.
