An apparatus for alleviating the voltage drop of a battery according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a battery having battery cells; a sensing part which senses the battery and generates sensing information; a calculation part which computes the allowable torque of a motor by using the sensing information and calculates the prospective voltage of the battery by using the sensing information; and a determination part which controls the toque of the motor by using the prospective voltage and a reference voltage. According to the present invention, the voltage of the battery is stabilized by controlling the lowest voltage of the battery based on a low temperature and a low SOC test.
