The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a novel positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery stabilizes a crystal structure of particles due to having a gradient from metal concentration in particles, and has high tap density and breaking strength of particles as well as having high thermal stability. |
