The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for setting a beam in a wireless device. The method for setting a beam in a wireless device comprises the following steps: determining a beam based on a user gesture; and performing communications with other wireless device by using the determined beam. Accordingly, time required for setting the direction of a beam can be reduced, and a load for beamforming can be reduced.
