The present invention relates to a device and a method to simplify route guidance, and the device and the method to simplify route guidance are to provide simplified route guidance on a route wherein a driver mainly moves. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device to simplify route guidance comprises: a repeated route setting unit setting a route repeated at a certain time as a repeated route based on a destination which the driver sets and a departure point which is a current position of a vehicle, generating a repeated route group by grouping a plurality of related routes in which the destination and the departure point are the same; a major point setting unit selecting a common route and an uncommon route by comparing the repeated routes stored in the repeated route group, and setting a major point based on a preset priority condition among the uncommon route; and a guidance message generation unit generating a guidance message of the repeated routes using the major point. |
